To get started, download Lunatask for your platform. You can install it either from your platform’s app store or directly from our website.
If available, we recommend starting with your platform’s store version.
macOS
Recommended: Install Lunatask from the App Store.
Alternatively, download Lunatask for Mac in DMG format on our downloads page.
Choose Lunatask for Mac (DMG version) if you’d like to apply for our education discount or are considering a lifetime purchase. Student discounts and lifetime licenses are not currently available in the App Store version.

Alternatively, download the installer directly from our downloads page.
As of June 2023 (Lunatask v1.7), Lunatask no longer supports Windows 7 or Windows 8.

$ snap install lunatask
Alternatively, download AppImage version on our downloads page.
Chrome OS
Use the AppImage version of Lunatask for Linux on x86-based Chromebooks.
Lunatask is currently not yet available for ARM-based Chromebooks.
iOS

Lunatask uses the Argon2 key derivation function for password hashing as part of its encryption toolchain, implemented in WebAssembly. To set up the mobile app, please temporarily disable Lockdown Mode. After you’ve logged in and configured a four-digit PIN in the settings, you can re-enable Lockdown Mode.
Android
Get our mobile app for Android on the Play Store.
Due to constraints on our development capacity and other priorities, we can officially support only Google’s Android platform at the moment. While the app may be available through alternative stores (such as Aurora Store) and runs on most alternative Android distributions (such as GrapheneOS), this is on a best-effort basis. We appreciate your understanding.
Direct APK distribution is not available at the moment, but we’re considering adding our own direct APK distribution channel for use with tools such as Obtainium in the future.
Installation on GrapheneOS
Lunatask uses the Argon2 key derivation function for password hashing as part of its encryption toolchain, implemented in WebAssembly. To set up the mobile app, please enable WebView JIT. After you’ve logged in and configured a four-digit PIN in the settings, you can disable it again, but we recommend keeping it enabled.
